How much does a termite inspection cost?
Usually, inspection comes free unless it requires more equipment or extra time for inspection. I remember my pest control person told me if the inspection takes more than 30 minutes, he would charge me $30 for every 30 minutes added. I was worried about that, but the inspection was done in less than 10 minutes, probably because my house is tiny. But check with your termite treatment professional about that. If they don’t offer a free inspection, don’t be shy to ask for one.

Termite control professionals do free inspections because they know most of the customers are desperate and will go with the first termite control company they find. It also feels uncomfortable having them go after a thorough inspection. But if you don’t feel comfortable with the price, ask for a discount. Usually when they quote, they quote with some margin for a discount. Don’t be shy. Also, don’t hesitate to say bye to them after the inspection if you want to get more quotes. If they suddenly become nasty, there’s no reason to go with them in the first place.
