How to Kill Termites & Protect Your House

Formosan Termites Establishing New Colonies in South

The distribution of Formosan subterranean termite, one of the most aggressive termite species, is becoming wider each year. If you live in one of the following states, you are not safe from termite damage: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. Formosan termites are already found in the Houston area on large scale.

One of the reasons why Formosan termite colonies pose serious threats is because of their 300 ft in soil forage range. If you discover the signs of Formosan termite colonies in your yard, unfortunately, there will be no method to get rid of the entire colonies for this reason.

The best way to control Formosan termites is through preventive practices. For the termite prevention methods, please read the following study done by the University of Florida on Formosan subterranean termite (Coptotermes formosanus Shiraki)
